Christmas kids crafts are always fun and often require quite a bit help from parents but this one is definitely not like that. Your job is to grab a cup of coffee, put your feet up, and let the kids make Mr. Snowman all by themselves. It's that easy.

Ready to get started? Here we go!

Supplies needeed:
  • printout template - Make a Snowman (you'll find it in our freebies gallery)
  • kids' scissors (we highly recommend Simon the Shark for it's safety features - if the kids are going to be making Mr. Snowman independently)
  • glue
  • colored A4 paper (color of your choice)
  • googly eyes (optional)
Cut out Make a Snowman template
Let's start!

First step is to print out the template from our gallery. Give the template to your kids and tell them to cut out the peaces needed for assembling  Mr. Snowman. By doing it on their own without your help, they'll love it even more.

A definite plus is that they will practice their hand-eye coordination, fine motor skills and also boost  their self-esteem while you're enjoying your morning cup of coffee.

It's a win-win situation as we see it. :)

After all the peaces are cut out, tell your kids to take the glue and glue the peaces on the colored paper. Our recommendation is to start gluing from the Snowman's head. Than glue the hat and the nose. The body comes right below the head. To cover up the transition between the head and the body, glue the scarf there. Now you can glue the hands (brooms).

We did an optional step by adding googly eyes to our Mr. Snowman.

And voila, that's it. Your kids' Mr. Snowman is all done. The most importantly, they did it all by themselves and that is something that they will remember with joy.

Let us know in the comments below how your kids liked this activity.
